(March 2008)
This article is written to make sure that you get the most out of my Jugglingworld website. Usually people who get in touch through the website are either enquiring about hiring me, purchasing items from my online store, or asking me to add more tricks descriptions for certain props, but there are over 300 pages full of useful juggling related information that I hope you will enjoy browsing through!THIS WAS WRITTEN FOR MY PREVIOUS WEBSITE BEFORE THE REVAMP IN SEPTEMBER 2009. I HAVE UPDATED SOME LINKS AND SOME PAGES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE – SORRY!
Animations Gallery | One of the webs largest galleries of juggling animations. |
Tricks | 31 tricks pages featuring props as common as juggling balls and clubs, to unicycling, toothbrush twirling and pen spinning! |
Juggling Games | A list of juggling games that you can play with or against your friends, as well as countless variations on Gladiators! |
Meet other Jugglers | A list of chat rooms and newsgroups that jugglers can join. |
Benefits of Juggling | A section created to help gather as much research as possible into the benefits of juggling. Split into Social, Educational and Physical Benefits pages, you will find enough evidence to back up the claims that juggling is fantastic and of great use in any organisation! |
Conventions | If you have ever considered going along to a Juggling Convention, but wondered what it was like, then try browsing round this section which features my own reviews and photos of many conventions (Scottish, British and European since 2002)! |
I hope you have enjoyed this brief tour around my Jugglingworld website. There are many other sections and pages that I haven’t listed, so please continue looking around if you have the time!
New Products and Further Reductions
- More items reduced as of today, when I launched the Bargain Basement page. You lucky newsletter subscribers get to hear about it all first!
- 20 new products including… Slinky, several Astrojax and learning CDs, Sundia Fly Diabolo accessory kits, poi and staff DVDs, and finally Yoyos!
- The new range of Fire Products introduced in October are beginning to sell well as people get into practice for all the summer festivals!
Warming up in the Cold!
At Winter-time, I got to be the WARM UP act for Bucks Fizz and Journey South at the Drumchapel and West Winterfest! I say warm up, because I was behind the barriers in front of their stage doing fire juggling! It was also my pleasure to be performing in Glasgow when their 2014 Olympic Bid was won!
It was my pleasure to entertain the Ring Tailed Lemurs at Camperdown Wildlife Park when not walking up and down the Santas Grotto queue to keep the hundreds of kids entertained in the freezing cold!
The Circus Skills Badge page has proved a success and I am now regularly helping organisations such as Brownies, Scouts and Guides to achieve their Circus and Entertainment badges!
This year, I am trying to fit in as much work as I can in Scotland before my big move to the Midlands (more information below)
Moving to the Midlands
At the moment, I am living with my wife Rachel in Stirling which is in Central Scotland. In September 2008, the plan is to move to the Midlands where Rachel will begin her new job as an Occupational Therapist. There will be more details in the next newsletter.
I can now consider plenty of juggling work offers from England and in particular the Midlands! The store will relocate easily enough with only a minimum of hassle when the move takes place thankfully!
See you at the British Juggling Convention?
The 21st British Juggling Convention is being held at the Dome, Doncaster from 26 to 30 March 2008. Let me know if you are going, so I can say hi! More information can be found on the official BJC website.
Changes to the Website
Huge changes to the Jugglingworld website are happening soon. I can’t reveal any more just now as I am still working on the finer details, and I will update you in the next newsletter!
God bless
