SJP (Stirling Juggling Project) ran off and on from around 1991-2007. It had many members during this time and I ran the club from around 2003-2006. Many of its members have went on to have very successful juggling careers, and many others enjoyed it as a hobby and a chance to get together once a week to meet their mates. We also attended many Scottish, British and European Juggling Conventions together and fundraised for various local Charities and Community Projects. We even organised a European Exchange with a group from Holland which was awesome!

| Captain Duncan Smith

Ran the club for many years. He has “many years of teaching experience with all age groups, involved in one off workshops and ongoing youth circus projects. Duncan is an experienced performer who trained with ‘The Ringworm Brothers Circus’. He has produced shows from simple clown skits to complex circus based drama tackling mental health issues, and performed for audiences ranging from primary schools to adult cabaret. Now based in Dundee. |

“Often seen in Port Street, George has worked on pavements in many places. He has also worked for a year in a community circus in England, where he made a mean cup of tea. He was British Diabolo throwing champion of 2001, and won the 2002 UK National Busking Competition Circus Skills section with David Dogstar on percussion.” |
| Ewan Colsell

“He’s that weird bloke riding the unicycle around town. When he’s not weaving in and out of startled pedestrians he does workshops teaching circus skills for local community groups. He also tries to transform Off The Record (an information and advice centre for young people) into a circus, under the pretence of being a volunteer advice worker. Ewan’s Website |

Noeleen ran Kablitz Entertainment Agency and was an agent to many of the professional jugglers who attended over the 15+yrs the Juggling Club ran for. She ran the Kablitz juggling shop in Broad Street opposite the Boys Club which was home to the Juggling Club. |

Aren’t they lovely?
I hope one day that the club will start up again, although many of the people who have organised it over the years are now based elsewhere in Europe (including myself in Northamptonshire, so I won’t be attending regularly)! This page is to provide a bit of history on SJP and keep the memories alive.
